Glimpse 00:59
I got so close but to what? A shadow moving just beyond my touch. Round the corner tried to disappear. Wrote down a word but it wasn't at all clear. Gave it a name, sang it a song, but nothing happened; the distance turned too far. I got so close it stopped making sense, but I'm still trying just for one more glimpse.

Wander 01:06
Have I been here before? Have I touched my hand to the same wall. Circled back to what I thought was the start, but it's not. It's not. Tried to figure where I've gone, but I've been here all along. Circled back to what I thought was the start, but it's not.

Did Not 01:19
Once in a while I get caught wanting everything to be what it's not. But that's not fine. It's alright, I guess. I don't want it said that there's only difference but look what I did. Or didn't do. Once in a while I get caught defining everything by what it's not.

Started to floss at my dentist's request, figured that they would know best. Now every night, my gums are crimson red. Spitting blood on the porcelain, spitting blood in the sink again. You have to hurt to heal, it's been said. Now I am spitting blood on the porcelain.

Found myself in a room flipping through a book a two. Didn't quite know what to do so I sat and enjoyed the view. I thought a lot about the world, thought a lot about a word. It was never really mine I learned this time.
